lettering for GTW’s 52’-6” wood refrigerator fleet

One hundred refrigerator cars , initially ordered by the New Despatch Refrigerator Line (NYDX) from Pullman-Standard’s Michigan City plant in March of 1937, as Lot 5567 with Series numbers of 8000-8099. The order was transferred to Grand Trunk Western as Series 206900-206999, and delivered between October and November 1937. 

Paint & Lettering: Car sides painted reefer orange with reflective aluminum paint roof, mineral red ends and black underbody. Lettering black stencil paste with a cream colored background monogram.
