lettering for C&O’s USRA Class B5-1 boxcars

In 1919, the C&O received 1,000 Class B5-1, 1919 USRA design boxcars as follows:

Series 600-1149, 550 cars, St. Louis Car Company, delivered in 1919
Series 1150-1599, 450 cars, Haskell & Barker, delivered in 1919
(Note: in 1939, 800 cars were rebuilt with steel sheathing and renumbered into 2000-2799 series)
