The Central Railroad of New Jersey (CNJ), also known at Jersey Central Lines (CRP, received 100 AAR design 70-Ton at cars in October of
1944. Built by Greenville Steel Car Company under GSC O.O. 428, they received reporting marks CRP and assigned Series numbers 101-200.
In the early 1950’s the reporting marks were changed from CRP to CNJ.
 
Paint & Lettering: Cars painted black. Lettering all white stencil paste.
 
All cars were CRP 101-200 from when built in October 1944 to October 1954, per the ORER. Starting in October 1954, the cars were slowly
reassigned to the CNJ while keeping the same car numbers. (84 CRP, 16 CNJ as of January 1957.) Ninteen additional cars to CNJ between
October-December 1957 (65 CRP/35 CNJ as of January 1958); and 57 addtional cars to CNJ between July and September 1959 (24 CRP/76
CNJ as of October 1959) Ed Hawkins
