Lettering for 40' autocars - as delivered 1946 scheme

In September 1946, the SL-SF received 300, 40’ autocars from Pullman-Standard Car, Lot 5835, Series 154000-154299, with 14’ door openings and a 10’-6” IH and 4/4 Improved Dreadnaught ends. These were later renumbered to Series 153000-153299 and given the “Ship it on the Frisco” slogan (see Protocraft Decals sheet SL-SF-7b). Model: PC-3314

Paint & Lettering: Cars were painted Car Hide Red: TCP-926, on sides and ends. Roof, underframe and truck side frames coated with black car cement.
