Paint & Lettering: Cars were delivered in 1942 with sides painted a dark freight car brown: TCP #921 with ends, roof, truck sideframes and
underframe coated with black car cement. Be sure to mix in some TCP-179 grey to replicate normal oxidation to lighten the color.
For the 1947 repaint scheme with the 6’ diamond medallion, see Protocraft Decal set #ERIE-7b). Car side, ends and roof painted a lighter
shade of brown: TCP-923. Again the addition of TCP-179 will more accurately replicate the actual color shade once the car was on the road a
year or so. In June, 1947, the 72” medallion introduced , with dimensional data layout in horizontal form.
