The Western Pacic took delivery of 350 Modied 1937 AAR box cars in J6nuary, 1945. Built by Mt. Vernon Car Co, Lot #9722, Series 20201- 20550.
Paint & Lettering: Car body painted red-brown: TCP-204, or (1 part Floquil #74 + 1 part Floquil #186) Underbody and truck side frames painted with black car cement. Wheels were unpainted and allowed to rust and gather a coating of axle grease.
In 1949, the cars were relettered with all silver lettering and medallion. Decal sheet includes stenciling for the air reservoir, coupler facing side of truck bolsters and center sill. (note stencil on center sill visible just left of the right truck)
